Holiday apartment with a terrace and use of a garden, in a quiet location
Herdwangen is 13km to the north of Überlingen in the beautiful Upper Linzgau. The apartment is in the basement of the house the owners live in, on a 1200m² site on a quiet side street, without through traffic. Here you can find peace and quiet, whilst being within easy access of Lake Constance, the Danube Valley, Austria and Switzerland.
The 60m² apartment, partially with parquet and wooden floorboards, is on one floor and consists of a bedroom with a double bed and two single beds, and a living room with a sofa corner that can be converted into a bed, satellite TV, a stereo system and a separate dining space, a kitchen that is fully-equipped with a four-ring hob, oven, big fridge with separate freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, egg boiler and coffee machine. The spacious bathroom with daylight was completely refurbished in 2014 and has two washbasins and a spacious walk-in shower (120 x 90cm), as well as a toilet. Wireless Internet access is available. A cot and a highchair can be provided free of charge.
Outside there is a roofed terrace with garden furniture, a portable grill, a garden bench, a parasol and deckchairs. There is a swing for children and you can share use of the lawn in front of the apartment. There is a car parking space right by the house.
As from now there is an hourly RegioBus, the Bodensee-Donau line, from Überlingen via Pfullendorf to Sigmaringen (Danube valley). Services start at 5.18 am and run until 23.30. It is possible to take bicycles, with certain restrictions.
There are shops and cafés within 500 metres. Herdwangen is an ideal starting point for your trips, to the Danube Valley, Sigmaringen Castle or the Beuron monastery (35 mins.), the Pfullendorf lakeside park with the most beautiful German adventure mini golf course, an animal park and a waterskiing park (10 mins.), Rheinfall Schaffhausen (35 mins.), Stein am Rhein with the beautiful old town by the lake (35 mins.), Affenberg Salem with freely roaming Barbary macaques, Lindau in the Allgäu (50 mins.), Vorarlberg in Austria or the lakeside stage in Bregenz, St. Gallen in Switzerland or Säntis – the highest mountain near the lake.
