Holiday apartment with a roofed balcony, in a quiet location
Herdwangen is 13km to the north of Überlingen in the lovely Upper Linzgau. The apartment is in the attic of the house, which the owner also lives in, that is on a 1200m² site on a quiet side street without through traffic. You can find peace and quiet here, but can still get to Lake Constance, the Danube Valley, Austria and Switzerland easily.
The 70m² apartment is on the first floor and comprises a bedroom with a double bed and two single beds, a living room with a sofa corner, satellite TV, a stereo system and a separate dining space, a kitchen fully-equipped with a stove, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and egg boiler, and a bathroom with two washbasins, a bath, a shower, and a separate WC with a washbasin. Wireless Internet access is available.
Outside there is a roofed balcony (11m²) with garden furniture, a portable grill and a deckchair. There is a parking space for your car right by the house. The owners can provide touring bicycles for use free of charge, as well as a cot and highchair.
There are shopping facilities and cafés in the immediate vicinity (within 500 metres). Herdwangen is an ideal starting point for trips, e.g. into the Danube Valley to Sigmaringen Castle or the Beuron monastery (35 minutes), the Pfullendorf lakeside park with the most beautiful German adventure minigolf course, an animal park and waterskiing park (10 mins.), Rheinfall Schaffhausen (35 mins.), Stain am Rhein with the lovely old town by the lake (35 mins.), Affenberg Salem in the Allgäu (20 mins.) with free-roaming Barbary apes, the world cultural heritage buildings on stilts in Unteruhldingen (20 minutes), Lindau in the Allgäu (50 mins.), Vorarlberg in Austria or the stage on the lake in Bregenz, Pfänder, the Alps, St. Gallen or the Säntis mountain in Switzerland.
