In the hamlet of Carrayrié, your gîte is a typical mansion of the Cordais plateau
Former outbuilding of the castle, some parts even date back to the 17th century! Made entirely of white stone, its facade is decorated with an impressive Virginia creeper which takes on shimmering colors in autumn.
The Cordes plateau, a great place to spend your holidays, between Albi and Cordes-sur-Ciel. From the Episcopal City, the road rises and leaves the banks of the Tarn below, arriving on the plateau. The landscape changes completely, the ground becomes limestone, the stones all white. Numerous villages brighten up the landscape, including Mailhoc overlooked by its medieval castle.
** THE GITE **
Independent house which overlooks agricultural fields where the plantations can vary (cereals, sunflowers...). The owners live 50 meters from the cottage and will be available if needed.
As you enter, you face a majestic stone staircase with steps worn over the centuries.
- On your left, a washing machine and a bathroom with toilet and sink.
- To your right, a very large kitchen/dining room in which you can share your meals around a beautiful wooden table. Next, a living room with television and board games.
* Kitchen equipped with an oven, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric mixer, hand blender and potato masher.
- Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. Bathed in light, the first bedroom offers a very beautiful volume with its French ceiling and 160x200cm bed. Two other bedrooms offer two 90cm single beds, ideal for children.
- On the second floor, the fourth bedroom offers a lot of character with its beautiful mullioned window, 160x200cm bed.
Exterior: enclosed courtyard at the front therefore enclosed land with a small garden of approximately 150m². Adjoining the house, an old barn of 85m² which houses a ping-pong table and which will allow you to enjoy meals sheltered from the heat (or the rain!).
Terrace with pergola and garden table. Pétanque balls and Molky game to play outside.
Possibility of parking easily next to the gîte, outside the enclosed courtyard. For bicycles, scooters and other 2-wheeled vehicles, the old barn will be perfect for sheltering them.
