Cozy and romantic half-timbered house in the Southern Palatinate

This holiday home is located in a residential area in the small village of Billigheim-Ingenheim in the Southern Palatinate on a village street. The village has everything you need. There are shops, hairdressers, doctors, restaurants, a swimming pool, and a bus connection. The nearest town is eight kilometers away, and the Palatinate Forest is six kilometers away. The vineyards begin right behind the house, and there are numerous winemakers with good wine.

The approximately 90 m² large and romantic half-timbered holiday home was built in 1840 and completely renovated in 2014. It is equipped with all comforts and can accommodate up to four people.
In addition to a modern kitchen with a ceramic hob, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee and Nespresso machine, and a dining table for up to four people, you will find a cozy sofas, two armchairs, a coffee table, a satellite TV with DVD player, a stereo system with CD, and a fireplace (the first basket of firewood is complimentary; each additional basket costs €3.50) in the living room. From the living room, stairs lead to a loft where there are two sofa beds for two people, a wardrobe, and an armchair. To avoid misunderstandings: the loft must be crossed to reach the bathroom and the rear bedroom - this is usually not a problem for one's own children, but can be more so with friends or acquaintances. From here, a hallway leads to the bedroom, which is equipped with a box spring double bed (1.80 m wide) and a satellite TV. The modern bathroom features a shower, a toilet, a double washbasin, and a hairdryer. You will find a selection of board games for young and old in the house. Heating and free WLAN are available in all rooms of the house. A selection of various wines from different winemakers, as well as menus from the surrounding restaurants and cycling and hiking maps, are ready for you.

In the courtyard, you will find an outdoor seating area with a garden table and four chairs, lounge chairs, and a charcoal grill. Enjoy a cozy barbecue evening together here. You can rent a men's bicycle for a daily fee to explore the surroundings on your own. Your car can be parked for free in the courtyard or on the street.

The landlords “got stuck” in the Palatinate on the way back from a wedding at Lake Constance. The night was very short, and the church bells chimed every fifteen minutes. After some vacations/weekends in the Northern Palatinate, they decided to acquire a small lodging. The offers at that time were unsatisfactory, either completely overgrown and a ruin or without running water. Only the last property, too far, too large, and too expensive, led them to mentally arrange furniture and hang curtains on the way home. In 1996, they acquired this holiday home to spend weekends and holidays there. Over the years, the roof was insulated, new windows were installed, and a pellet heating system was added. In 2000, the agricultural buildings behind were added, which were rented until 2014 after conversion into a residential house. At the beginning of 2014, the holiday home was completely renovated; new floors, a new bathroom, and a new kitchenette were installed. At the same time, the rear house was remodeled and expanded. Since October 2014, their former holiday residence has been available as a holiday home, and they now live in the back part. We gladly provide tips on excursions, hikes, and cycling tours and are also happy to accompany you on a hike or to a wine tasting.

Around the holiday home, a picturesque backdrop awaits you, vineyards or rather hills as far as the eye can see. The Palatinate Forest invites you to short and long hikes, and the Pfälzerwald huts provide food and drinks in the middle of the forest. If you prefer swimming, there is a swimming pool directly in the village, lakes are not far away, and a thermal bath with a sauna is within eight kilometers. Even on Sundays and public holidays, you can expect the “Shoe Mile” with about thirty shoe stores. Museums, old castles, and ruins are waiting for your visit. But even for little vacationers, there is certainly an interesting excursion destination like the zoo or the Reptilium. Cafés and restaurants are within walking distance, a supermarket is one kilometer away, and bars and clubs for going out are located eight kilometers away.

Our guesthouse, an old farmhouse build 1840, had been completely renovated 1840 without loosing its charme. There are still beams not allowing the standard hight of 2,20 m. The house is equipped with WLAN, SAT TV, DVD, radio, CD.
The entrance is within the courtyard, closed to the street with a gate. Here you can sit below an fig tree and park your car. In the living room you find comfortable sofas and a fire place. The kitchen with dish washer and equipped with all necessary spicery, coffee filter etc. provides also a dining table for 4.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and the bath room with shower. In the first bedroom you need to go through to reach the other rooms. In one bedroom, there is a second satelite TV. Bathing gowns are also available.
