This charming farmhouse is wonderfully located in the pretty medieval village of Saint Ambroix, between Gard and the Ardèche. It is nestled within a quiet residential area, close to the shops but on the outskirts of the village. The farmhouse dates back to 1780 but was renovated in 2015: it is now a spacious and comfortable holiday . It boasts a lovely outside swimming pool, a pool house with outdoor shower, a large garden complete with petanque court and swing set, and two terrace areas which are ideal for relaxed, al fresco living.
Inside, the holiday home offers plenty of space. It is spread across three floors and includes two living areas and two kitchens on the ground floor, five bedrooms and a living area on the first floor and three bedrooms and a living area on the top floor. The decor is fresh and modern with comfortable furnishings, carefully selected accessories and modern amenities combined with rustic influences.
The beautiful gorges of the Ardèche are just 25km from the holiday home and are an ideal spot for swimming and water sports. Bargain hunters may wish to head to Barjac and browse its flea markets (less than 20km from the holiday home). If you're seeking a spot of rest and relaxation, be sure to visit the thermal spa of Fumades and frequent its thalassotherapy centre, which is roughly a 15-minute drive from the holiday home. Vallon Pont d'Arc is situated roughly 30km away, which is home to the famous Grotte Chauvet, one of the oldest discovered painted caves in the world. The beautiful medieval town of Uzès is also well worth a visit, roughly 40km from the holiday home: here you can wander along the small, winding streets and browse its Provencal markets.
