The holiday house classified as five-star by DTV enjoys a very quiet and exclusive location on the outskirts of Kalterherberg, part of the town Monschau, affording a wonderful panoramic view of the idyllic Eifel landscape.

Newly built in 2014 according to the latest standards in aerated concrete with lots of glass and wood, we put great emphasis on the wishes and expectations of guests with special requirements during the complete planning and execution.
The living space of approx. 125 m² is distributed on a single fully heated floor. In addition, the completely tiled house has a continuously installed underfloor heating with individually adjustable room thermostats. The entire house and the outdoor area are barrier-free. In the large glazed living and dining area there is a comfortable seating area and a large seating table for up to eight people. The technical equipment of the living area includes a satellite TV with flat screen, a DVD player and a music system as well as extensive information material. In the fully equipped kitchen you will find a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and sink, fully automatic coffee machine, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, pots and pans, complete crockery and cutlery equipment, drying cloths, basic equipment for consumer goods such as spices, washing tablets , Household paper, etc. available. In two of the four bedrooms you will find a double bed (1.80 m wide), a built-in wardrobe and bedside tables. The third bedroom offers two single beds, each 0.90 m wide, high dressers, wall cupboards and bedside tables. In the fourth bedroom there are also two single beds, one of which is designed as a care bed, wall cabinet, high chests of drawers and bedside tables. A baby travel bed (0.60 x 1.20 m) can be provided free of charge if required. The large bathroom is barrier-free and has a walk-in shower (1.50 x 1.50 m), a shower seat, a washbasin with a tiltable mirror, a urinal, a handicapped accessible toilet with fold-up armrests, a towel dryer, a make-up mirror and more a hair dryer. The smaller of the two bathrooms is also barrier-free and has a floor-level shower (1.00 x 1.00 m), next to it a sink, toilet, towel dryer, make-up mirror and hairdryer. A billiard table, card game table, shuffleboard, dice games, board games, satellite TV with flat screen, telephone, WiFi with up to 50 Mbit / s are available for your entertainment in the active room. In the utility room of the holiday house you will find a washing machine and dryer for free use, a small freezer and drinks fridge as well as all equipment and aids to keep the premises and inventory clean.

The outdoor area is also barrier-free. In addition to a spacious garden with complete fencing as a secure exercise space for children and dogs, the holiday home has a partially covered, wind-protected terrace with outdoor seating, table and electric grill. A heated garden whirlpool for four people is available all year round for sole use. Before each guest change, cleaning and fresh filling takes place or if necessary. The guest is under maintenance. Garden loungers and benches complete the equipment of the garden area. In addition, the property offers a private outdoor parking space for at least four vehicles, including a designated disabled parking space.

Exclusion of guests:
1. The house is not suitable for youth groups, party parties or bachelor parties.
2. The house is not suitable for travel groups from nursing or retirement homes.
The landlord has the right to reject such a booking after checking it.

Up to 2 dogs with social behavior and upbringing are welcome.

The laundry package includes 1 towel, 1 bath towel, 1 bathrobe, slippers and bed linen (beds made).

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property with a transfer rate of up to 50 Mbps. The holiday home is not only DTV-tested, but also recognized by the NatKo (Tourism for All Germany e.V.) for accessibility and disabled facilities. Furthermore, the hosts emphasize that a friendly welcome and briefing as well as the availability of questions or problems are part of their philosophy.

The centre with a grocery shop, bakery, butcher, doctor, bistro etc. is nearby. The nearest large town and administrative centre is Aachen about 35km away. There are good hiking and trip options around Kalterherberg. The moor and heath landscapes of the Hohes Venn nature reserve and the extensive forests, Vogelsang Castle and Rursee in Eifel National Park invite you to pay a visit. It is not far to the Monschau old town with historical architecture and many gastronomic enterprises. In winter there is an extensive network of cross-country skiing trails and you can go downhill skiing in Rohren, as well as sledging. There is comprehensive information material in the house about attractive trip destinations and recreational activities.

    “In dem wunderschön gelegenen extrem gut ausgestatteten Haus fühlten wir uns sehr wohl. Wir wurden durch den Besitzer mit einer Flasche Sekt und eine Obstschale empfangen. Dazu gab es eine ausführliche Erklärung zu den örtlichen Gegebenheiten und ein Ordner mit tollen Beschreibungen und Karten von Wanderwegen der Umgebung. Es fehlte nichts, was man für einen gelungen Aufenthalt vermisst hätte. Selbst an einem Wassernapf für Hunde war gedacht. Für Hundebesitzer absolut zu empfehlen, da man vom Haus aus direkt los laufen kann. Der große gepflegte Garten ist absolut ausbruchsicher.
    Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.”

    “Heel mooie huis met uitstekende afwerking, vriendelijk ontvangst door Ria en haar echtgenoot.
    Slaapkamers waren netjes opgedekt, maar toch een beetje aan de kleine kant.
    Maar dit heeft ons verblijf zeker niet beinvloed.
    Ook de tuin was prima en goed afgesloten wat praktisch is zeker met onze honden.”

    “Der rote Schwede ist ein wunderschönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes, gepflegtes Haus.
    Für einen schönen geselligen Aufenthalt steht ein Kicker und ein Billardtisch zur Verfügung.
    Der Jacuzzi-Aufenthalt ist ein tolles Erlebnis -Sternschnuppen inbegriffen-!!!
    Das Haus ist landschaftlich sehr schön gelegen. Mit dem Auto hat man viele
    Unternehmungsmöglichkeiten. Alles hat zu einem tollen Wochenende beigetragen.
